The Work
We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer, responsible for executing both short-duration and multi-year landfill, civil, geotechnical, hydraulic, and landfill engineering projects ranging in budget from $50,000 to $1,000,000.
This job is a hybrid role and can be in one of our three offices: Farmington Hills, Akron, OH or Oak Ridge, TN
The Ideal Candidate
Will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary design and construction teams to address challenges in the design and construction of foundation, pavement, stormwater, landfill cell/final cover, and other civil and hydraulic systems. Your expertise and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of our projects.
Education, Experience And Requirements
15 or more years of experience in civil, geotechnical or landfill engineering projects
Project management experience preferred
Must be registered as a Professional Engineer by a state licensing board following NCEES Model Law and capable of registering with additional state licensing boards upon hire
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
Coordination with clients, hosting or participating in progress meetings
Tracking budget and schedule, invoices and collection, supervising engineers, and technicians, and reviewing project deliverables
Lead project representative on one or more projects of moderate to large size and complexity
Manages/interfaces with clients to maintain a positive business relationship
Prepares, negotiates, and manages routine projects and monitors the work of contractors and/or consultants
Has full quality control responsibilities
Manages project budget through internal financial accounting system
Prepares project proposals
Participates in health and safety plan development
Knowledge of construction management, CQA, and construction material testing practices
Must be able to work constructively in diverse teams including engineers, technicians, and non-technical personnel
