Job Summary
The Senior HR Generalist supports multi-state locations by providing a broad range of HR services, including day-to-day HR administration, employee onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and leave administration. This role serves as the point of contact for employees' and managers' questions concerning policies, practices, and general HR inquiries.
Job Responsibilities: Serve as the point of contact for employee relations issues and conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns. Address and resolve employee relations issues, including conducting thorough internal investigations. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve the department's efficiency and services. Maintain employee records, ensuring the completion and accuracy of hiring information, pay rates, and status changes. Process new hires and terminations by reviewing approved field submissions. Provide HR support on acquisitions related to onboarding and integration of employees. Administer and manage all aspects of employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA, and personal leaves. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and coordinate with Safety on Workers Comp leaves.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a closely related field. SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus. A minimum of five years of Human Resources experience with a substantial focus on employee relations, conducting internal investigations, and leave administration. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey information clearly. Proficient in Microsoft 365 and possess strong data analytical capabilities for effective data management and report generation. Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws, including an understanding of California employment law. Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple, diverse tasks with minimal supervision.
