Senior Portfolio Advisor, Real Assets

Position Overview

Aksia is seeking an experienced Real Assets professional to join the Portfolio Advisory team. The ideal candidate has overseen a large portfolio of Real Assets primary, secondary, and direct investments across infrastructure, real estate & natural resources. This individual would 1) help to develop and grow Aksia’s Real Assets business, and 2) work closely with sophisticated clients in all aspects of their portfolio development including portfolio design, planning and investment selection. Critically, the candidate would have the experience to suggest flexible solutions to the unique challenges of each client, and the demeanor to implement proposed solutions within a complex network of constraints, governance and personalities.

The location of the position is flexible, and it reports directly to the Co-Heads of Advisory Americas.

Responsibilities

  • Leading client relationships as an extension of staff to facilitate successful investment portfolios, specifically within Real Assets
  • Building strong relationships with institutional investor prospects and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
  • Sharing real assets knowledge and mentoring other members of the team
  • Speaking at conferences, events, client board meetings and prospect pitches
  • Leveraging the resources of the entire firm to best serve clients’ needs
  • Contributing to and/or producing thoughtful sector-level research in conjunction with research team heads and other key decision-makers

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience managing real asset portfolios and/or assisting institutional investors to manage real assets portfolios
  • Strong knowledge of other alternative strategies, including private equity, private credit, and hedge funds
  • Knowledge of and relationships with institutional investors
  • Highly motivated and organized
  • Effective writing and communication skills
  • Positive attitude, team player and strong work ethic

The estimated base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $200,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Aksia provides a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local cost of labor.
