Senior Product Manager, Logistics and Supply Chain

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Product Manager to lead the development and optimization of our supply chain and logistics networks, with a particular focus on middle mile sortation and/or the direct mail commingling space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and product management, combined with a proven track record of building and scaling efficient logistics networks. This role is critical to our mission of delivering best-in-class logistics solutions that enhance our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap:
    • Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for middle mile sortation and logistics solutions.
    • Identify market opportunities and define product vision, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, sales, and marketing, to align product initiatives with business objectives.
  • Supply Chain and Logistics Management:
    • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of supply chain and logistics networks, focusing on middle mile commingling.
    • Utilize data analytics and market research to identify areas for improvement and innovation in logistics processes.
    • Ensure the scalability and efficiency of logistics operations, including route optimization, warehousing, and transportation management.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers, to understand their needs and integrate feedback into product development.
    • Manage relationships with logistics service providers and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and reliable service delivery.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of logistics projects, from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
    • Utilize project management tools and Agile methodologies to track progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Leverage data and analytics to drive product decisions, optimize logistics operations, and improve service levels.
    • Implement metrics and dashboards to monitor performance and identify trends, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain and logistics.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation and the adoption of new technologies to enhance logistics capabilities.

  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
    • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proficiency in supply chain management software, data analytics tools, and project management software.
Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product management, supply chain management, or logistics, with significant experience in middle mile sortation and/or commingling.
    • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing logistics networks at scale.
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.

Compensation Information

The compensation for this position is structured to include a base salary + RSUs. Base salary bands are listed below.

CA/NYC Tier

Base: $170,000 - $200,000

US Tier

Base: $160,000 - $187,500

Salary is one part of total compensation, which also includes equity, perks and competitive benefits. Salary decisions are based on many factors including geographic location, qualifications for the role, skillset, proficiency and experience level. Lob reasonably expects to pay candidates who are offered roles within the provided salary ranges.”
