Exciting Opportunity in Raleigh Area - Data Modernization Program Director
Are you an experienced senior program director with a deep knowledge of public health looking for a new challenge? The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a talented individual to lead an IT modernization and transformation effort for the Division of Public Health (DPH). This 9-month contract role offers a W-2 rate up to $60/hour. Please note that candidates must currently reside in the Raleigh area.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to strategize and develop a modernization roadmap for DPH
Establish and implement a governance model for the DPH data modernization program
Manage various project approvals and vendor engagements
Work with cross-functional teams to develop business intelligence solutions and dashboards
Lead budget management and funding allocation efforts for maximum productivity
Ensure program compliance with the State IT Roadmap and security requirements
Required Skills
Extensive program management experience in technology business programs
Strong ability to conceptualize and promote a strategic vision for data management
Experience with modern data architecture, data lake, data warehouse, and relational database structures
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate effective teams towards successful outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
PMP/PgMP Certification
Agile (PMI-ACP) Certification
Experience in managing large complex programs involving legacy system replacement projects
Previous collaboration with State and Local Government
Knowledge or experience in public health is a plus
