Job Responsibilities

  • Research problem statements/processes, identify constraints and root cause, partner with business stakeholders to scope improvements, drive solutions to completion, and verify impact of improvements.
  • Own program schedule, requirements, and reporting tools for visibility on progress, critical path, risks, and opportunities.
  • Consolidate inputs from across teams to executive reviews and highlight risks, opportunities, successes, and areas of improvement.
  • Implement systems, processes, configurations and change projects in accordance with plans. Participate in project definition, scoping, and option analysis activities.
  • Effectively and succinctly communicate program progress and status in diverse forums and serve as a coach and mentor for teammates with focus on developing technical and business skills through clear establishment of plans, goals, and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in material science, chemical engineering, chemistry, or physics
  • 5+ years of experience in project/program management related to new product/process development.
  • Demonstrated communications, leadership, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Ability to write, speak and present effectively will all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional project and system management skills, with passion and high energy involvement along with posing the diplomacy and cooperative style to positively influence outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority demands simultaneously and achieve success in situations with high degree of variation and complexity.
  • Experience across all stages for new product development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Material science, chemical engineering, chemistry, or physics with 1+ years of experience
  • MS with 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • B.S. with 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with batteries containing lithium metal anodes.
  • Experience as a battery maker and a battery customer.
  • Experience doing business with Japanese suppliers.
  • Willingness to go into the laboratory to understand the cell making process.

Physical Work Requirements

  • Able to lift 25 lbs. and stand for many hours per day.

Compensations Range

The expected base salary range for this position is between

$128,200.00 - $192,400.00

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

This compensation and benefits information is based on Lyten’s estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. We generally do not negotiate on salary once we have made an offer. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
