Senior Quantitative Portfolio Manager - Chicago

Our client is a leading global quantitative trading firm. They are seeking Senior Quantitative Portfolio Managers in the high- and mid-frequency trading space in liquid asset classes. Throughout their over two decades of experience they have a proven track record of bringing on Quantitative Portfolio Managers and enabling them to successfully build and run their trading strategies. Their deep experience and expertise in capital markets, alongside their world class research and execution platforms, allow them to scale up existing PMs and sub-PMs, and to offer very competitive P&L splits. PMs at this firm are responsible for the full research, development and trading pipeline of their systematic, quantitative strategies, whether they are running independently or building a team.

Requirements- 5+ years of experience in front office buy-side quantitative research and trading, with a track record running your own book of significant size

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or similar; Masters or PhD preferred) with excellent marks, from a top university
  • Extensive experience with Python in a professional environment; C++ experience is a big advantage
  • Self-driven and ambitious, with a history of successful alpha research, implementation and monetisation
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, and presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
