About The Role

Engage an assigned group of dealers to collectively grow new equipment sales of UniCarriers branded Class I, II, III, IV and V equipment. Established time-lines in all cases to drive sales accountability. Manage a sales variance budget by providing additional discounts to dealers on new equipment for select accounts, and manage a Travel / Entertainment budget. Assist Director of Sales with mentoring and onboarding junior RSMs. Dealer Management and Sales Staff will establish short and long-term business plans to deliver sustained growth, implement tactical marketing approaches, create promotional / sales incentives that reach out to new business opportunities, manage strategic target account development, and define sales and financial merchandising training plans. Dealer inventory management to ensure delivery reports are filed to record earned SOM for ITA. Analyze competitive lease termination data for lead generation & establish dealer equipment sales forecast - secure stock and STR orders.

What You Will Do

  • Exceed annual new equipment sales forecast assigned to region - Develop and execute strategic, new equipment business growth plans - Hold self and senior dealer management accountable for the retail sales and promotion of UniCarriers brand forklifts.
  • Increase Share of Market (SOM), year-on-year through the sale of adequate stock to the dealer so that Short Term Rental and end user customer demand is housed at proper levels to support current and future business growth.
  • Assess the dealer sales talent level and develop customized training plans so that field sales personnel are equipment with the knowledge and selling skills set to deliver sales growth - This includes a full and comprehensive awareness of UniCarriers product benefits and application training, knowledge of competitive strengths and weaknesses, and administering effective demonstration techniques through role play exercises.
  • Assign discount levels within authorization levels to price-sensitive opportunities identified by the assigned dealer group - Be conscious of the standard OnePartner Pricing discounts and know the parameters of the PAR program if applicable - Be responsive to the speed that retail demands are made and make financial decisions that preserve and grow the company's profitability.
  • Confirm all sales management, data mining resources and performance measurement standards are understood, accessible and monitored.
  • Effectively manage cost control of an assigned travel and entertainment budget, and the administration and planning associated with travel - Complete expense reports on time.
  • Assist Director of Sales with mentoring and onboarding of junior RSMs.

When & Where

  • Home office, access to an airport. Extensive overnight travel.
  • Mon - Fri from 8-5 with 50% travel expectation.

What You Need To Have

  • Bachelor's Degree - Business Management / Marketing degree and/or minimum (10) years industry experience.
  • New business development tactics through target account identification & Sales training for new and experienced dealer sales representatives.
  • Action plan summary and timeline to Dealer Management following each meeting period & Dealer portal (eg Training, Online Business Plan, Brainshark)
  • Effective communication; written / oral, public speaking, negotiation and selling skills & Dealer quote log audits and sales incentive enrollment.
  • In-depth knowledge of UniCarriers product (i.e. Class I - V) & strong insight to Corporate National and Dealer Managed Major Account development.
  • Ability to develop, nurture and coach young talent.

What Would Be Nice To Have

  • Strong working knowledge of Financial Merchandising & Ability to promote MLA-M inventory and secure incremental customer, stock and STR orders.
  • Tactical insight to convert IC users to Electric UniCarriers branded equipment (AC technology) & able to be a self-starter with minimal management.
  • 3 years experience at a Lift Truck retail operated dealership & effective follow through and promt response to meet the demands of retail sales needs.
  • High level of accountability that delivers closure and demonstrates task ownership & Strong working knowledge of Leasing / Asset purchase options.
  • Ability to make accurate financial decisions to preserve and add to MLA-M profitability & clear understanding of MLA Mission, Vision and Values.
