Our company is on a mission to find a top-tier Research and Development Engineer for a prominent global automotive supplier.
About the Company:
This highly stable workplace, with a long-standing core team, is at the forefront of technology and R&D advancement, particularly in the areas of domestic energy storage, batteries, and hydrogen storage. The facility focuses on developing powder for batteries and magnetic applications. With a total headcount of just over 40, including 7 dedicated production staff, this position promises a collaborative and innovative environment. This is an on-site position with 30% travel. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Responsibilities:
Oversee R&D projects aimed at developing powders for battery precursors, coating technologies, and innovative applications.
Identify and launch new process and product research initiatives.
Work closely with customers, suppliers, marketing, and manufacturing teams to meet program objectives.
Offer expertise and guidance on metal powder development across different departments.
Ensure R&D activities are in sync with corporate strategic programs to optimize technical resource use.
Introduce and advance new products and processes through small-scale testing and pilot programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or materials science is required; Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the metals or stamping industries is preferred.
Demonstrated strong leadership and effective communication skills.
Proven problem-solving abilities.
Outstanding time management and multitasking skills.
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
Compensation:
Up to $115k with excellent benefits.
