We believe that Generative AI is going to usher in new UX interaction models on the web and with customer service and technical support. The Digital & AI Bot team is responsible for building out digital experiences that are Gen AI centric new/existing Asurion Clients and internally on our Asurion.com website which attracts millions of visitors per month. Our objective is to maximize each customer engagement originating in the digital channel.

The opportunity

We are seeking a senior software engineer that can work with internal stakeholders, product managers and designers to build out the core Simplr CX Platform.

Someone who wants to build a world-class product that makes Asurion stand out. From planning to design, testing, and rollout, you’ll use your software development skills and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple teams across the company.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and support features for the main Simplr platform and associated services.
  • Help design the platform architecture in collaboration with the team
  • Driving the development of technical and product-focused projects
  • Implementing extendable design patterns within the codebase
  • Provide expertise from past experiences to help level up our current development practices.
  • Review code, provide insightful feedback and elevate the development team
  • Exercise ethical decision-making
  • Be the voice in the room that always puts the user first.

What You’ll Bring To The Team

  • Ability to write extendable, maintainable, and traceable code
  • Comfortable with front end and back end technologies - we mostly use Node.JS and React with TypeScript.
  • Experience with Web application development and expert level understanding of web technologies.
  • A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms and software design
  • Good understanding of non-relational databases such as MongoDB and in-memory stores such as Redis
  • Good understanding of common cloud-native architectural and code design patterns
  • Great sense of ownership and productive autonomy
  • Good discernment on the tradeoffs between deliverability and quality

Experience And Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 or more years of software development experience required
