Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with development and support teams to address and resolve system issues.
Utilize Mobile Device Management (MDM) software to manage and secure various endpoints, including smartphones and tablets.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell.
Employ SCCM (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager) for effective system management.
Identify and proactively resolve system issues that affect business operations.
Lead or assist in resolving critical, high-visibility system impacts.
Ensure compliance with application and system configurations.
Participate in the operational refinement of software pilots.
Coordinate software deployments for Point of Sale systems.
Provide operational insights on technology to other IT groups.
Analyze systems and procedures to find opportunities for improvement.
Train support teams in proper support procedures and techniques.
Work with project teams on new solutions or technologies being developed, ensuring smooth transitions to operations.
Offer technical support and operational training to team members.
Document support standards and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
Over 5 years of experience in IT Operations or Systems Administration.
Proficiency with both Microsoft and Linux infrastructures at the enterprise level.
Experience with software deployment and configuration management tools.
Expertise in system monitoring and analysis using tools like Splunk.
Strong background in Windows triage and support.
Thorough understanding of IP networking and VLANs.
Extensive experience with PowerShell, DSC, or other Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
Experience with virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V, VMware ESXi/vCenter, Docker, and other container technologies.
Proficient in managing and supporting ChromeOS and Google Workspace.
Experience with cloud computing platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Familiarity with Linux distributions such as RedHat, SUSE, and Ubuntu.
Knowledge of process development and improvement methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma.
Some project management experience.
Willingness to participate in a 24x7 On-Call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Jenkins, an open-source automation server used globally for building, testing, and deploying software.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot remote systems.
Expertise in auto-scripting and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
