The ServiceNow Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. The ServiceNow Administrator will possesses foundational understanding of ServiceNow's core modules and functionalities. Key responsibilities include configuring the platform, resolving support issues, monitoring compliance, and ensuring the overall health of the ServiceNow system. The ServiceNow Administrator will have a crucial role in the deployment of features, updates, and releases. Work closely with end-users, collaborate on best solutions for technical issues, and contribute to maintaining the system's stability and usability. The ServiceNow Administrator in this role is constantly looking for improvements and understands the impact of the quality of the services the teams provide on customer satisfaction of the products used around the world 24/7/365. The ideal candidate will have a great understanding and experience using the ServiceNow Platform.

In this role you'll:

  • Monitor the health, administration, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
  • Perform day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Configure and enhance core application components, including Service Catalog, Service Portal, Knowledge Base, Management, Project & Portfolio, and Reporting.
  • Create and maintain a detailed view of the ServiceNow architecture.
  • Participate in the deployment of features and ServiceNow releases.
  • Assist in troubleshooting patch/release management issues.
  • Contribute to ServiceNow software releases through configuration tasks and feature delivery.
  • Research and stay current in ServiceNow products and applicable integrated technologies.
  • Collaborate with team members to design best solutions for technical issues.
  • Make recommendations and participate in implementing ServiceNow requirements.
  • Perform installation and testing of updates and new releases.
  • Create and use update sets to move configurations between systems.
  • Build reports, gauges, and home pages.
  • Maintain Service Level Agreement (SLA) and monitor SLA workflows.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • B.S. in computer science/IT or other relevant field or a minimum of 3 years of experience with ServiceNow platform administration, ongoing operations, and maintenance of the environment
  • Minimum 4 years of ServiceNow System Administrator and Development experience
  • ServiceNow Systems Administrator Certification
  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist and ITIL certifications preferred
  • Experience working with Web technologies, including JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with LDAP integration and Web Service integration such as API Web Services
  • Experience with ServiceNow development APIs and Single Sign-On configuration and administration
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in ServiceNow systems administration and support
  • Certified Implementation Specialist preferred
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, HWAM, SWAM, and SPM modules
  • Experience coordinating between cross-functional teams
  • Solid understanding of technology operations.
  • Solid understanding of IT strategy, architecture, engineering, operations, policy, processes, standards, organizational design, governance, change management, enabling technology and program delivery.
