Sunnova is seeking a dedicated and skilled Fleet Services Manager to lead our fleet management operations. The Fleet Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, procurement, and overall management of our organization's vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of fleet management best practices.
Manager, Fleet Services Responsibilities
Fleet Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet management strategy aligned with the company's objectives, focusing on optimizing fleet size, composition, and utilization.
Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the fleet through innovative technologies, processes, and best practices.
Team Leadership And Management
Lead and mentor a team of fleet coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and support professional development initiatives.
Maintenance And Repair
Oversee fleet maintenance operations, ensuring all vehicles and equipment are well-maintained, serviced, and inspected according to established schedules and industry standards.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime, enhance vehicle reliability, and reduce repair costs.
Cost Management
Develop and manage the fleet budget, monitoring expenses related to fuel, maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
Analyze cost data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure all fleet operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including safety standards, environmental regulations, and relevant licensing requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and recommend necessary changes to maintain compliance.
Vendor Relationships
Establish and nurture relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of parts, equipment, and services.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Data Analysis And Reporting
Utilize fleet management software and tools to collect and analyze data related to vehicle utilization, maintenance history, and operational performance.
Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
