Position Overview: The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor oversees operations for the shipping and receiving departments.

Job Responsibilities:
Ensures that materials are checked against vendor invoices, bills of lading, customer orders, and similar documentation
Oversees the record keeping of damaged or defective items and discrepancies with regard quantities or weights. Records time, date, quantity, source, and destination of materials that been shipped or received.
Evaluates the efficiency of existing shipping/receiving processes, implementing procedural improvements when necessary.
Monitors and tracks staff performance against organizational objectives.
Lead and manage employees to ensure safety and timely delivery of products
Hire, train, and mentor team members
Reviews and maintains records of shipping/receiving processes
Prepare customs documents for international shipments
Create claims for damaged freight
Order shipping/receiving supplies
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices
Works with shipping and receiving team lead to lead and direct the work of other employees
3+ years’ experience in a similar role. Prior experience in manufacturing is highly preferred
Prior experience in shipping, including international shipping experience, is a plus but not required
Comfortable operating a computer and utilizing a variety of programs
Previous experience with ERP, IFS experience is a plus
Ability to work independently to complete milestones.
Demonstrated ability to meet quality and productivity standards within team.
Solid time-management skills and ability to set priorities.
Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines
Strong commitment to quality, safety, customer service and teamwork
Ability to lift to 25 pounds on occasion throughout a shift.
