Due to our extensive growth, we have the following position available:
2ndShift Truck Mechanic Supervisor
This position is responsible for the daily supervision of 2ndshift fleet mechanics and maintenance personnel performing routine maintenance and a variety of repairs on fleet vehicles.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Oversee and supervise the maintenance of vehicles and shop operations.
Schedule and ensure that all safety related and driver requested repairs are reviewed daily and completed on a timely basis.
Ensure that a minimum percentage of the fleet is out of service and that the Operations Dept. is aware of any critical maintenance activities.
Protect the health and welfare of all shop employees by enforcing safety practices and ensuring that the shop is kept clean and safe at all times.
Requisition supplies, parts, and materials necessary for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of vehicles.
Coordinate with other shift supervisors about the status of repair work.
Qualifications:
The person in this position should have the following credentials:
Texas Class C Driver’s License Required
Texas Class B or A Driver’s License Preferred
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work under pressure.
Must be responsible and reliable.
Proficiency in windows-based computer and computer systems.
4-6 years related heavy-duty truck mechanic and fleet experience, preferably in the waste industry.
2-4 years of supervisory experience.
ASE Certification in the following is a plus: Diesel engines, electrical, suspension/steering and drive train.
Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
Normal work days are Monday through Friday 2:30 PM to 1:00AM, plus every third Saturday. Workdays and hours do vary depending on demand.

Pay range potential for the position is $70,000.00 - $100,000.00.
