The IT Manager will work in multi-brand / multi-channel fast paced entrepreneurial organization and will report to the NA HA IT Organization. This role will support cross-functional business systems globally. The successful candidate must be able to work directly with portfolio and project managers, product owners, developers, and key stakeholders to understand and ensure clear visibility into system testing and release planning tasks/coordination. Supported technologies include ERP, eCom portals, CRM products, EDI, APIs, Lightning components, mobile applications, integrations, amongst others.

The IT Manger will be expected to acquire a broad understanding of Demant’s enterprise systems ecosystem to thoroughly test solutions and evaluate output with a zero-defect goal in productional environments. The ideal candidate should be passionate about work, detail oriented, self-motivated, and be able to address and identify defects within systems for a multi brand and shared data model in a global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain release calendar runbook related to release plans and implementation for HA IT systems.
  • Identify and manage the system release pipeline for HA IT systems.
  • Implement multi-system planning schedule releases according to business needs while minimizing risk.
  • Work with the Development and Delivery teams, production support and other stakeholders to coordinate and execute release deployment activities within a global model.
  • Identify checklist of tasks and owners involved in the system release management process.
  • Manage activities for building and maintaining software releases into UAT and production environments while adhering to Demant Change Management Processes.
  • Ensure release communication and transparency by acting as a single Point-of-Contact (POC) for release stakeholders across the US Demant business and technology teams.
  • Manage release scope through defined criteria for adding or removing items (changes) to or from a release while ensuring minimal risk.
  • Proactively provide release health status, by identifying risks and obstacles that may impact release delivery.
  • Escalate and discuss challenges with appropriate team members, define remediation activities and drive resolution.
  • Managing application release schedules for various systems, ad-hoc projects and/or key infrastructure initiatives across multiple environments.
  • Planning, managing, and executing release cycles, including tracking release deliverables, and coordinating processes signoffs.
  • Communicate release/system refresh details, expectations and schedules to the business as required.

Responsibilities (SQA)

  • Adopt global testing tool(s) with efficient test accelerators to drive testing activities.
  • Create detailed software testing plans and project documentation related to the testing phases of the system lifecycle.
  • Design and develop testing standardized models for business area needs and setup test governance process.
  • Manage a high performing, motivated on/offshore team.
  • Create a holistic and reusable testing approach which is conducted for end-to-end systems during projects and enhancement.
  • Develop predictive and intelligent testing approaches on automation and innovative testing products and solutions for all testing phases.
  • Execution of test cases and complete pass/fail documentation.
  • Identify and facilitate a defect management process by ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Work with project teams and assign test cases to the right resources.
  • Estimate testing work and provide input to Project teams.
  • Work with development teams to automate core testing cases to increase overall efficiency in the testing process.
  • Organize test workshops and sessions with various business partners, thus providing excellent stakeholder management.
  • Strive for zero defect end-to-end functionality of IT products, and traceability to original business requirements.
  • Ensure availability of resources and escalate any conflicts to Project and Line Managers.
  • Measure quality of deliveries for all phases of testing including Unit, SIT (system integration testing), Functional, UAT (user acceptance testing) and continuously improve processes.
  • Organize, document and be hands on for multiple streams of testing work simultaneously.
  • Ownership of test environments and maintenance coordination.
  • Assist the team with hands on tasks when needs arise.
  • To project manage the testing project like estimating, resource management and scheduling with reference to testing work.
  • Review daily / weekly metrics on schedule and any other deviations; Publish daily/ weekly status reports; Share metrics / SLA reports with program leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, Masters Preferred.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in large scale software development projects as a functional analyst and/or test lead.
  • 5+ people management experience.
  • ERP, eCom, Salesforce system testing experience.
  • Exceptional documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly understand software functionality of diverse nature and translate into test cases and plans to match business expectations.
  • Extensive hands-on experience documenting test cases, plans and performing testing analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, stakeholder management, delegation, and team motivation skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks/projects interdepartmentally and simultaneously.
  • Working Knowledge of SDLC / PLC is required.
  • 5+ years of experience working on large scale multi system implementations in an Agile environment.
  • Full lifecycle ERP, CRM and eCommerce testing experience is required.
  • Experienced in defect management and resolution processes.

  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced teams working within the agile / scrum framework.
  • Highly motivated, able to quickly adapt to change when priorities shift and quickly think through problems.
  • Practical knowledge working in multi brand, onshore / offshore team setups.
  • Team player, passion for technology and continuous learning.
  • Testing Certifications like ITIL, ISTQB etc.
