Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the PACS Engineer:
Maintain Cloud-Based PACS Infrastructure: Oversee the configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting of our PACS system hosted on Google Cloud Platform.
Integration and Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate PACS with various healthcare systems and applications.
Optimize Data Storage and Retrieval: Implement strategies to ensure efficient storage and fast retrieval of medical images and associated data.
Security and Compliance: Implement and adhere to security best practices to safeguard patient data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance and proactively address any issues related to data storage, retrieval, or system access.
SQL Database Management: Develop and maintain SQL databases to effectively manage medical imaging data.
Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrity and quality.
Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to healthcare professionals utilizing the PACS system.
Technology Adoption: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing, medical imaging, and healthcare IT.
Change Control: Implement proper change control procedures for business-critical applications.

Key skills we are looking for in a PACS Engineer
Experience: Previous experience in a PACS environment with solid SQL database management skills.
Cloud Expertise: Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
Security Mindset: Understanding of security best practices in healthcare IT environments.
Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Familiarity with healthcare industry standards and regulations.
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Google Cloud, SQL).
