Job Title: SQL Server DBA

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain SQL Server databases in production and development environments.
  • Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Design and implement database architecture, including schema design and indexing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain database backup and recovery plans.
  • Monitor database performance and implement necessary updates and patches.
  • Create and manage database users, roles, and permissions.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Collaborate with application developers to design and optimize database schema and queries.
  • Conduct regular database security audits and implement necessary security measures.
  • Perform data migration and transformation tasks.
  • Provide support for database-related issues and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
  • Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience as a SQL Server DBA in a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server versions 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019.
  • Proficient in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery strategies.
  • Solid understanding of database security practices and tools.
  • Expertise in data migration and ETL processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or similar are a plus.
