Sr. Contracts Manager

Job Description

  • Actively participate in proposal preparation, RFI responses, contract negotiation, and contract administration/management. Ensure contractual fulfillment IAW company policies, contract requirements, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Supervise and inspire subordinate employees to higher levels of engagement and performance. Train and mentor employees to be able to develop well-reasoned solutions to complex problems in a dynamic environment and to ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively and precisely at all levels within the organization, including executive management.
  • Team with business area management to add value and ensure successful business, financial and contractual goals.

Requirements

SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD clearance of secret or higher, which requires US Citizenship.
  • Demonstrated experience with US Government Contracts including (at a minimum) cost-reimbursement, T&M, and Firm Fixed Price contracts.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or closely related field plus 12 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with US Government Contracts including (at a minimum) cost-reimbursement, T&M, and Firm Fixed Price contracts.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills involving contract type, terms and conditions, and price.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with intellectual property and data rights.
  • Extensive Experience with FAR/DFARS, and TINA. Familiarity with ITAR.
  • Prior management experience.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Understand and negotiate contractual terms and conditions; identify, evaluate, and brief management on areas of contractual risk; Facilitate productive communication with other departments regarding legal requirements, company policies, and contract terms; Ensure contractual integrity of all proposals and contractual documents. Negotiate contracts.
  • Act as the focal point for customer communication for all contractual matters; Ensure proper contract administration/management functions are employed, including required cost and schedule notifications.
  • Problem solving and ensuring continuous improvement in contracts processes and procedures.
  • Ensuring that the team is trained and working within the guidelines required by company policies and regulations, as well as ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
  • Responsible for coaching and developing team members, including administrating development plans, deploying engagement action plans and performance evaluations.
