Overview
Major League Soccer (“MLS”) is the top-flight men’s professional soccer league in the United States and Canada. We aspire to be one of the top leagues in the world, as defined by our quality of play, the passion of our fans, the relevance of our clubs and the value of our enterprise. In 2025, the League will be comprised of 30 clubs and is experiencing unprecedented growth and marketing momentum as it enters the 2026 FIFA World Cup cycle. In addition to entering a 10 year partnership with Apple to broadcast matches in over 100 countries, MLS is now home to Lionel Messi and a world-class base of players from over 80 countries. To continue on this trajectory of growth, we need to deliver innovation, creativity, and big thinking powered by 1. Clearly documented and fully socialized full funnel marketing plans and customer journeys and 2. Internal operational touchpoints (process and communications) to drive efficiency and effectiveness
We are looking for a Sr. Coordinator to join the Marketing Planning and Operations team to assist in standing the team up and will be responsible for Marketing Planning and End to End Customer Journey Mapping.

Starting Base Salary: $62,400 – $68,000. MLS/SUM base salaries are contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.

We are looking for a Sr. Coordinator to join the Marketing Planning and Operations team to assist in standing the team up and will be responsible for Marketing Planning and End to End Customer Journey Mapping.
Responsibilities
Marketing Planning
- Work across the League Office and Clubs with the team lead to develop end to end marketing plans and big ideas for:
- Tentpole moments includingbut not limited to Kickoff/30th Anniversary, Rivalry Week, All Star, League’s Cup, Decision Day/Playoffs/MLS Cup and Copa America and major summer events
- MLS/Apple partnership promoting Major League Soccer Season Pass on Apple TV
- Prepare for weekly leadership updates outlining progress against plans and pivot points
- Follow up with leaders on a weekly basis to complete action items and move progress forward
- Assist the Sr. Director in mapping customer journeys that enable orchestrated communication between the league and 30 clubs by
- Partner with the market research team to understand current baseline fan behavior (e.g., How do fans hear about the league? How do they hear about clubs? How do they first engage with the league or clubs? What actions do they take next?)
- Map a “typical” fan journey in partnership with MLS crossfunctional partners and with club marketers
- Develop a learning agenda to outline critical tests to complete on a quarterly basis
- Partner with MLS channel owners and club marketers to execute on the learning agenda
- Partner with the MLS and club analytics teams to deliver and read out on those tests
- Refine and continue testing orchestrated journeys based on data and insights
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years in marketing or strategy consulting
- Strong executive presence with experience working with marketing and research.
- Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail.
- Innovative mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to direct multiple team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong data and analytical capabilities, with the ability to identify insights and supported recommendations.
- Excellent people skills, with the desire to build effective relationships and an ability to interact effectively in a professional and diplomatic manner with internal and external clients at all levels.
- High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity, compliance, promptness, and timeliness.
- Proficieny in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and outstanding Power Point presentations building skills.
- Ability to to work non-traditional hours during peak planning moments.
- English fluency required. Fluency or proficiency in Spanish and/or French preferred.
