What we need:

Brady Corp is seeking a Sr. Engineering Technician. We are looking for someone eager to learn our printer systems and grow in their technical knowledge. You will work with the testing team and a variety of technical leaders to develop and execute test plans and document results. Testing scope can vary from print quality optimization to hardware life testing. Candidates should have strong communication skills and look forward to working cross-functionally.

What you’ll be doing:

• Create and execute test plans to validate that new product development and sustaining engineering programs meet product requirements.
• Execute test strategies to ensure quality, functionality and performance of printers and materials. Work hand-in-hand with R&D, factory, and marketing teams to develop cost-effective test strategies and test plans to mitigate risks.
• Work together with product teams as needed to resolve issues in an efficient manner to support product launch plans.
• Learn and apply industry standards for printer performance, reliability, and print quality testing.
• Assist with development of internal standards and test processes as required.
• Understand measurement tools and techniques, and make recommendations for measurement equipment as needed.
• Manage printer test labs, equipment, and calibration schedules.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Associates Degree or comparable experience.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills and experience writing technical documents.
• Computer skills including office programs and Google systems such as Word, Excel, Google docs, Gmail, etc.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to take ownership for all aspects of product testing.
• Self-motivated with strong analytical skills.
