Position Summary
The Sr. Manager, Product Development will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and ensuring the successful development of high-quality, sustainable, and ethically sourced products. You will work with a team of talented professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market, while upholding our brand's commitment to clean beauty standards as aligned with brand and founder ethos.
Responsibilities:
Manage the product development lifecycle, including timelines, milestones, and budget allocation, to ensure on-time delivery of new product launches
Develop and execute a strategic product development roadmap aligned with the brand's clean beauty ethos and market trends
Identify opportunities for innovation and expansion within the clean beauty space
Brief labs on new projects in all makeup and skincare categories
Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Oversee the formulation process from concept to launch, ensuring products meet clean beauty standards, regulatory requirements, and performance expectations
Approve and track pre-production samples for open orders of products
Coordinate cross-functional efforts with marketing, packaging, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to commercialization
Troubleshoot any problems that arise within the development cycle
Overlook all beauty assets to ensure the shades develop as expected
Manage the timelines for formula, and shade & proper testing
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetics Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
Proven experience (5+ years) in product development within the beauty or cosmetics industry, with a focus on clean beauty products
Impeccable attention to detail
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
Deep understanding of clean beauty principles, ingredient sourcing, formulation techniques, and regulatory requirements
Excellent project management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
Passion for sustainability, ethical sourcing, and advancing the principles of clean beauty
