This role is for a Sr. Web Automation Quality Engineer for the Front-End Personalization team. The goal of this initiative is to provide customers with meaningful and relevant experiences when using the Kroger app and shopping in stores. The back end team would look into a customers account and pull up UPCs of frequently purchased items, while the front end team would manage what items are recommended and displayed when a customer goes to start their cart in the app.
5+ years’ experience of quality assurance and testing as well as developing automation frameworks and automated tests.
Strong knowledge of Web automation testing preferably Playwright/WDIO and JavaScript/TypeScript
3+ years of experience in an automation and SOA QE leadership capacity. The actual QA experience should be more than 3 years. Drive the team more than just deliver against their own specific task. Should have lead experience.
Strong understanding of SOA Testing concepts, API testing, Integration tests and Contract tests.
Experience with SOA automation tools like Postman is desired.
Strong knowledge of QA concepts, Reporting, Metrics, Test case management, Defect Management.
Strong technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of multiple lines of business
Understanding of risk assessment and risk management procedures.
Ability to apply knowledge of project methodology and business processes to test processes.
Strong knowledge of programming/scripting languages.
Proven communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels of the organization.
This resource will be part of the front end team supporting the Personalization Acceleration efforts. This team is looking for a true senior level resource who can jump in and hit the ground running with not much ramp up time. They need to have strong knowledge of Web automation testing preferably Playwright/WDIO and JavaScript/TypeScript.
This person should have experience as a lead tester. They will be entering a fast paced environment; this team is always running. The ideal candidate will need to thrive in this type of environment.
Remote will be considered, though it would be helpful if they were near a hub location, as they'd like to convert at some point in the future.
12 month contract to hire with possibility to extend.
