Location: We are remote-first. This role can be based in most states in the US.
The Opportunity
As a Staff Accountant, you will fulfill an essential role on the Accounting Team in a rapidly-growing company. Reporting to the Accounting Lead, this full-time position is hands-on, with a mix of accounting, reconciliations and operational duties.
Your day-to-day
Prepare account reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
Oversee preparation of reconciliation tracker, and leveraging Oracle reconciliation tools
Provide hands-on operational and financial reporting support for loan / lending related activities. Responsible for daily aggregation, reconciliation, and recording of transaction activity.
Participate in monthly close by preparing general ledger entries, maintaining records and files, and supporting variance analysis documentation.
Accounting activity for Loan Accounting, Treasury and debt facilities (loan draws and pay downs, interest expense, fee calculations), including related month-end accrual journal entries.
Participate in interim and year-end audits.
Continually develop, expand and improve month-end close and financial reporting procedures by streamlining close-related activities.
Partner with Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager on special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis, and other accounting duties as assigned.
What you bring to the team
3+ years relevant Accounting experience in the Financial Industry.
1+ year loan/lending accounting experience required (includes strong backgrounds include credit card companies, equipment finance, auto finance, mortgage, or specialty finance companies).
Ability to analyze complex problems and recommend corrective actions.
Experience with ERP Systems. Oracle Financials a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000. The position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we're proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
