The Full Time Staff Account will primarily focus on managing payroll and accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in financial transactions. The Staff Accountant has strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment. Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Payroll Management
Process payroll for employees accurately and timely.
Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
Handle payroll inquiries and discrepancies promptly and professionally.
Prepare payroll reports for management review.
Accounts Payable/Receivable
Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
Verify coding, obtain approvals, and ensure timely payments.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
Maintain vendor relationships and address inquiries.
General Accounting
Assist with month-end closing processes.
Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Bank reconciliation.
Management of employee expenses & reimbursements.
Assist in financial reporting and analysis.
Support external audits as needed.
Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Maintain accurate and organized documentation for audits and record-keeping.
Stay updated on payroll tax laws, wage guidelines, and accounting regulations.
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 Years of experience in a finance/payroll related role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in payroll software and ERP systems.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
