Staff Full Stack Software Engineer at Hidden Level
Hidden Level is seeking a talented Staff Software Engineer who has a proven track record of leading teams and deploying software products, and who is interested in solving challenging problems in Counter Unmanned Airborne Systems (C-UAS) and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM). The ideal candidate will have experience working with radars and related sensor technology, an interest in UAS technology and 10+ years of professional experience in software development. Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and oversee the lifecycle of software products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions, and implement features.
- Serve as a technical advisor and mentor to engineering teams, providing guidance on architecture, coding standards, and development methodologies.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Identify and address technical challenges, proposing innovative solutions to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement security best practices throughout the development lifecycle to protect data and systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead initiatives to improve development processes, tools, and infrastructure, promoting automation and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in C omputer S cience , S oftware Engineering, Computer Engineering , or related field with strong programming background.
- 1 0 + years of related professional experience . Master’s degree a plus.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in developing for Linux-based operating systems, Ubuntu a plus.
- Expertise in C++ and Python application development.
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Experience working with sensor devices and building scalable IoT architectures a plus.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Proven track record of leading technical projects and mentoring engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and strategically.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Experience with mobile app development.
