Strategic Director, Enterprise Strategy - Development (Remote)

Partner with senior development leaders to identify, define, plan and implement strategic and innovative strategies to advance the organization's goals. Proactively plans strategic initiatives and align development strategic process to enterprise-wide integrated strategic and financial planning (ISFP) process.

***This is a fully remote opportunity that can be home based anywhere in the United States.***

Major Responsibilities

Drive innovative strategic thinking to achieve enterprise development goals. This position may be responsible for any of the following:

  • Assist senior development leaders in setting revenue growth goals and priorities that align with the enterprise strategic priorities
  • Collaborate with development leaders on special projects related to growth and other strategic initiatives
  • Partner with revenue leadership on the development of initiatives and monitor progress on their execution
  • Track and communicate progress of revenue initiatives, and identify and mitigate barriers to their success
  • Be actively engaged in non-profit fundraising industry; maintain current knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, competitors, customer needs and business opportunities
  • Develop strategic insights based on market assessments to inform senior leader decision-making Research non-profit and for-profit companies that fit with ACS growth priorities and strategies to identify potential key collaborations
  • Conduct due diligence and provide assessment and thought leadership on industry outlook, strategic fit of identified targets, synergy potential, and key risks
  • Provide information, expertise and competitive intelligence to development leads and ACS leadership to help in identifying new organic and inorganic business investment
  • Drive business development growth plans and report on metrics driving the health of the business development function including pipeline, activity, revenue growth, implementation, and execution
  • Develop senior-level business relationships with existing and targeted clients to identify potential business opportunities

Knowledge/Skills

FORMAL KNOWLEDGE

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or similar field, MBA preferred, and at least 10 years of relevant experience required; experience in strategic analysis, and planning, and strategy execution, and/or management consulting; nonprofit or health care experience preferred

Competencies/Skills

  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership to drive change and achieve strategic goals
  • Experience performing and managing business case development, analytical modeling for the purpose of assisting the exploration of strategic options and development of creative solutions to complex problems
  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, initiative, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Excellent analytical and connect the dots thinking, with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment No or very limited physical effort required No or very limited exposure to physical risk Periodic travel

The starting rate is $117000 to $146000 annual. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
