Job Overview

Bad Birdie is seeking a dynamic and driven Supply Chain Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking and strong execution skills, with a proven track record of optimizing supply chain operations. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and on-time delivery of our products to our warehouse, overseeing the relationship with 3PL, improving operational efficiencies, and expanding our distribution network. This role requires a "player-coach" mentality, where you will lead by example, collaborate closely with other operations team members and departments, and ensure excellent execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to improve supply chain efficiency, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high service standards.
  • Support the relocation of our 3PL operations, ensuring a smooth process with minimal disruption.
  • Ensure timely and efficient shipment of finished goods from factories to our 3PL for fulfillment.
  • Manage inbound logistics, focusing on cost reduction and efficiency for both ocean and air shipments.
  • Analyze and optimize shipping costs for small parcel carriers.
  • Work closely with Production to ensure timely delivery of inbound purchase orders using advanced visibility tools.
  • Develop strategies for product movement and carrier sourcing for domestic and international logistics.
  • Monitor and control logistics and warehouse costs company-wide, aiming for cost savings without compromising service quality.
  • Collaborate with Finance on 3PL operational and logistical cost forecasting.
  • Submit monthly forecasts to our 3PL for unit volume forecasting, including outbound unit forecasts for e-commerce and wholesale, inbound unit forecasts, and return unit forecasts, with the help of cross-functional teams.
  • Implement processes to assess and improve vendor performance continuously.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance our logistics operations and strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery per the Master calendar and document and maintain logistical milestones. and processes, including setting dates for all stage gates, activities, and supporting tasks to complete the seasonal GTM deliverables.
  • Look ahead and support the creation of infrastructure for international distribution, strategically planning and executing the development of our supply chain to support future growth outside the USA.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain management and logistics, including strategic planning and execution.
  • Strong understanding of domestic and international logistics operations, including parcel, ground, air, and ocean freight.
  • Strong project management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven success in implementing strategic logistics operations and developing innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of discussing complex issues effectively with senior management.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills and experience in providing strategic recommendations.
  • Experience with Shopify or other eCommerce platforms is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
  • Experience in the fashion industry and familiarity with D2C eCommerce platforms are highly valued.
  • Experience with ERP and freight forward platforms is a plus.
  • Passion for learning and leveraging emerging technologies such as AI and Machine Learning.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute plans to develop supply chain infrastructure supporting future international expansion.
  • Willingness to travel domestically (10-15% required).

  • This position will be working on-site in our office in Scottsdale, AZ. Our office is in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale and close to the best restaurants, nightlife, hikes, pools, gyms, shopping, spring training, hotels, etc., in Arizona.
