As Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the procurement, flow, and handling of materials from purchase to inventory in a high-mix, low-volume environment. This role manages teams and drives procedures, processes, and projects to maintain a balanced material flow from supplier to inventory, meeting customer demand while maintaining inventory levels and accuracy in support of this company’s overall strategy.

Focus:

• Lead and manage the planning, purchasing, and logistics teams.
• Initiate and manage projects to ensure efficient and precise material flow from suppliers to the company’s warehouses.
• Maintain relevant system data for timely updates related to new product introductions, product retirement, and ECOs.
• Maintain lead time, safety stock, minimum order quantity, and other relevant system data.
• Monitor material and storage costs.
• Assess and evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities and performance.
• Lead the implementation of problem-solving and other continuous improvement opportunities.
• Perform employee reviews and take disciplinary action as necessary.
• Lead and participate in assigned projects.
• Track and analyze assigned key metrics.
• Advocate for and drive adoption of initiatives in assigned departments.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5-10 years in a supply chain manager role or related field.
• APICS certification.
• Experience in sourcing and procuring machined and fabricated metal parts; background in lighting and/or furniture is preferred.
• Continuous Improvement process training and experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and/or schematics.
• Broad knowledge of ERP system functions; ERP implementation experience a plus.
• Knowledge of procurement standards.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control and management.
• Exceptional analytical and planning skills.
• Good understanding of Planning, Master Scheduling, and Capacity Planning.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of database structures and SQL a plus.
