Responsibilities
- Supports the maintenance, configuration, and seamless operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization technologies.
- Install and update hardware components and software applications, oversee virtual servers, and implement automation processes for enhanced efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues through diagnostic procedures, meticulous documentation, and prioritization of tasks to minimize disruptions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to furnish comprehensive documentation and technical specifications for the planning and execution of IT infrastructure upgrades or new deployments.
- Collaborate with engineers to review regular backup operations and devise robust processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
- Act as local desktop and helpdesk support functions, ensuring swift resolution of desktop application and equipment issues to maintain operational continuity.
- Provide strategic insights for capacity planning, storage management, and database performance optimization.
- 1-2 years hands-on experience in Desktop Support and Software Support
- 1+ years Mac desktop/laptop & Apple support experience in a business environment
- Must exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and mobile operating systems
- Google Workspaces experience is a plus.
- Certifications such as A+, Network+, Security +, or Microsoft Certified: Windows 10 is a plus.
- Provide technical support to employees on a variety of desktop, laptop, and mobile devices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in database management, network administration, or system administration roles.
- Relevant certifications in Apple IOS, Microsoft, or other network-related fields are advantageous.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMWare or equivalent platforms.
- Thorough understanding of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools to streamline operational tasks.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing IT strategies and plans.
- Understanding in implementing and refining helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including adept knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
