  • Must have 7+ years of high speed automation project leadership

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering - Required

10+ years of experience within the packaging industry, along with machinery/operational experience - Required.

3+ years of Project Management Experience - Required

  • Up to 50% travel working with Field Service teams and customers

What You'll Be Doing

The Technical Services Leader – Consumer Packaging, will oversee the delivery of high-quality technical services for assigned Consumer packaging account(s) within the company portfolio. You will build strong customer relationships and foster collaboration to identify and implement actions to deliver the best technical service and execution. You will proactively engage and communicate with customers to plan and coordinate all service offerings, including installations, maintenance, spare parts, and customer service within the Global Technical Services portfolio. You will provide crucial tactical support during the planning phase with customer focus and ensure project management discipline during the execution phase of installation and maintenance jobs. You will also work with customers and company employees at different organizational levels to achieve optimal customer satisfaction, work as a technical subject matter expert, and educate customers on company capabilities to improve their operational efficiency and overall customer relationship.

Project Focus

Develop field service project cost estimates using standards. Ensure all aspects of the job related to field service are planned accordingly, including schedule, cost, man loading, and job set-up.

Plan, prepare, and manage projects from beginning to end by reviewing project requirements, setting up projects, mapping POs, developing, and executing against cost estimates, establishing project risk analysis with mitigation strategies, owning performance and customer KPI targets.

Serve as the additional customer interface with commercial, engineering, and operations teams among others.

Review and verify the forecast to maximize field resource utilization.

Communicate with field technicians to update the job status and ensure project success on a daily basis.

Team Management

Identify and recommend solutions to resolve product or service requests regarding technical, operational, and engineering type of issues that our customers and production facilities may encounter.

Coordinate new customer specification development and specification maintenance utilizing supply chain data.

Conduct scope audits to evaluate customer’s back shop current state and identify operational inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.

Create contribution reports that verify savings or operational improvement solutions and leverage the report documents daily to help customers understand company value and capabilities.

Provide technical input and field support to the product management group during research projects and qualification trials.

Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues and customer complaints in a timely manner.

Research and evaluate new products and technical innovations to promote the understanding and benefit of technology systems.

Manage both internal and external customer relationships, providing value-added sales and service support solutions.

Partner with Corporate Business Manager to identify and implement cost savings initiatives and sell company solutions while strengthening the customer relationship.

Provide consultation and training to customers to educate them on various areas of packaging capabilities.
