Technical Training Specialist I

Provide training and service support for dealer representatives, end users and internal technical staff, including planning and coordination of training and equipment installation and repair.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Training duties (50%):

• Effectively organize, conduct and deliver regular on-site training presentations and WebEx training sessions for dealer/distributor representatives and internal technical staff, ensuring that resources are prepared, materials are current and appropriate for the topic.
• Develop and conduct training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.
• Update and maintain the Docebo activities – training schedules and updating internal database.
• Evaluate training for effectiveness.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing industry publications.
  
  

Field Technician duties (50%):

• Install new or modified equipment at customer’s facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
• Analyze, review and inspect findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
• Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
• Provide onsite technical support for repairs and installations.
• Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years related experience and/or training in Training, Electrical, Software, or Mechanical; or combination of education and experience.
• Experience servicing wide-format inkjet printers
• Presentation skills in an adult learning environment
• Strong aptitude for customer applications
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to travel up to 50% travel; requires some afterhours including weekends
