Job Overview

The purpose of this team is to create technical documentation for cloud products. This role will contribute to writing and updating technical documentation for a product that collects, analyzes, and responds to monitoring data from cloud and on-premises environments. The role will not be creating any API documentation.

The main function of a Technical Writer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing, and maintaining technical records and files.

Job Responsibilities

• Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
• Maintain records and files of work and revisions
• Confer with the client to establish technical specifications and determine the subject material to be developed for publication
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or English, journalism, communications
• 10+ years of overall experience required
• 10+ years of Technical Writing experience
• 8+ years of experience with GitHub/Markdown
• 5+ years of Coding experience (preferably with C# and .NET or .NET Core web apps)
• Experience in creating documentation for a technical audience
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
• Ability to read some programming code
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
