Test Automation Engineer Lead - Electronic Trading
Location: New York, NY (onsite)
Description
This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of a test automation strategy for a leading Fixed Income Electronic Trading company in the global interest rate swaps and options markets. In this hands-on player-coach role, you will:
Identify, select, and implement a test automation platform for the company.
Create the test automation strategy.
Develop and implement testing automation for an electronic trading system.
Create and run stability and performance testing scripts.
Create and refine new features and functionality on the trading platform following a test-driven development methodology.
Partner with the development team and actively contribute to the SDLC including the delivery of new features and functionality.
Ensure the quality, reliability, and resiliency of new software releases.
Recruit, train and lead a team of test automation engineers.
Experience
5+ years of experience as a test automation engineer or a developer of tests for a leading electronic trading company.
5+ years of experience testing trading applications in financial markets (fixed income, equities, FX).
2+ years of experience leading a team of engineers.
Startup experience is a plus.
Hands on scripting experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology (required).
Master's degree or MBA (a plus).
Strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit.
