The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Test Lead to join SBS (Small Business Solutions) ART team. The Test Lead will play a crucial role in multiple initiatives, ensuring the quality and reliability of SBS through effective test planning, test execution and defect management.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in test delivery & management for complex programs that deliver iteratively, leveraging SAFe methodology. Additionally, he/she will have prior experience with enterprise product upgrades and/or cloud migration, showcasing a solid understanding of testing involved in successful upgrade / migration of applications & data in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business objectives and develop test plans & strategies aligned with Agile / SAFe principles and methodologies. Define test objectives, scope, key deliverables considering sprint cycles, PI plans & release timelines.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Architects and Development teams to analyze Backlog items / User Stories and ensure they are clear, testable and properly estimated.
• Lead the planning and execution of all testing activities in scope, including functional, API & Integration, System, Data Migration, Compatibility and Acceptance tests.
• Ensure that test artifacts, including test plans, test suites, test results and defects are organized and up to date.
• Monitor quality metrics to measure test coverage, test effectiveness and overall software quality.
• Work with Test Automation team to maximize automation leverage in the projects.
• Mentor testers on Agile testing practices and methodologies. Promote culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  
  
  

What You Need To Succeed (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Test Lead / Manager, with a minimum of 7 years in software testing in Agile or SAFe environments.
• In-depth understanding of Agile principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
• Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and practices, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and, Platform as a Service (PaaS). Knowledge of various Azureofferings & services, including compute, containers, databases, migration etc. would be a huge plus.
• Prior experience in at least one enterprise product upgrade or cloud migration project is a must.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with geographically distributed cross-functional teams.
  
  
  

What Can Give You An Edge (Additional Skills)

• Awareness of Insurance domain business processes, including policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, billing & payments, is highly desirable.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. SAFe, ISTQB, Insurance, Microsoft Azure Certifications).
  
  
  

The salary range for applicants for this position is $86,000-$110,000.
