Perform title examinations while adhering to the Minnesota Title Standards and our underwriter’s policies and procedures.
Conduct title examination based on available information: title insurance order, purchase agreement, abstracting search, real estate tax data, name search, assessment search and plat drawing.
Process requests for title commitment endorsements and supplementals.
Provide professional guidance to the customer regarding possible “action steps” to resolve title issues, without giving legal advice.
Communicate regularly with the Closers and Managers regarding title issues and possible “action steps” to fulfill title requirements.
Work with the other production team members to ensure title insurance orders are processed in a timely manner, taking into consideration any special needs/requirements of the customer.
Assist with reviewing Plats/Assessment Searches
Assist with updated and issuing Revision Commitments to customers
Proof and review the title commitment and all customer correspondence for accuracy and content, prior to distribution.
Use CORE to track receipt and completion of files for examination.
Qualifications
Education – High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
Skills – Must be professional with internal/external customers. Must have good telephone etiquette and strong presentation skills. Strong Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Skills - Must be well organized and detail oriented. CORE Direct experience preferred.
Work Experience – Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working with a title insurance company or other real estate services company required.
