Position Purpose and Objectives:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Title Processor to join our team. As a Title Processor you will be responsible for ordering title reports, tax certificates and facilitating and processing Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) closings within established guidelines and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with lending officers, underwriters, and customers to ensure a smooth and timely closing of HELOC transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage lending and excellent organizational skills.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required For This Position:
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in finance or related field preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience as a title processor or similar role in the mortgage industry.

Position Purpose and Objectives:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Title Processor to join our team. As a Title Processor you will be responsible for ordering title reports, tax certificates and facilitating and processing Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) closings within established guidelines and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with lending officers, underwriters, and customers to ensure a smooth and timely closing of HELOC transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage lending and excellent organizational skills.
Major Duties And Essential Functions:
- Review HELOC applications and associated documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with customers, lending officers, and underwriters to resolve any discrepancies or missing information.
- Collaborate with underwriters to provide necessary information and documentation for loan approval.
- Keep customers updated on the status of their loan applications and address any concerns or questions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies throughout the loan processing cycle.
- Maintain accurate records and files for each loan application.
- Order title reports and tax certificates and review the content of information received related to such orders.
- Arrange for the closing of the HELOC loans, coordinating with all parties involved in the transactions.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required For This Position:
- In-depth knowledge of home equity lending regulations and guidelines.
- Familiarity with loan origination software and automated underwriting systems including RamQuest and Encompass.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Fair Lending laws, TRID, RESPA, and other mortgage lending regulations is a plus.
