Duties
Conditions of Employment
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement

A BQ military spouse possesses knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies comparable to others who meet the competitive referral criteria for the specific position.
This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- You will serve as the Basic Life Support Administrator for Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and its BLS satellite/affiliate sites.
- You will prepare course materials for short and repetitive courses including training agendas, outlines, handouts, charts, and reports as necessary.
- You will ensure compliance of equipment, supplies, materials and consumable infection control policies.
- You will use established automated systems to enter, maintain, and retrieve data to compile reports and monitor projects, courses and individual statuses.
- You will complete and submit monthly dedpartment statistics as required.
Conditions of Employment

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Experience preparing course materials for short and repetitive course including training agendas, handouts, charts, and reports as necessary.
- Experience organizing existing data and sources to obtain additional information for use during classes.
- Experience using automated tracking systems to capture and retain data for reporting.
- Experience conducting formal and informal briefings for audiences such as new staff and faculty on Basic Life Support programs.
