, Job Description

Transformation Project Manager is a key position responsible for managing large and complex cross functional initiatives, often including complex technical tracks, and targeted for transforming a business domain in a dynamic and fact paced environment. This role serves as a transformation expert, knowledgeable in the company’s three to five-year vision and industry trends yet brings realism and practicality to the mapping out of change and its timing to ensure a strong and lasting adoption with sustainable results.

In this role you will collaborate and partner with business and technical leaders to facilitate large-scale, transformational change impacting people, process, and technology. Success in this role requires a balance of project management skills, financial services and technical acumen, and superior interpersonal skills (verbal and nonverbal communication, the ability to handle conflict, teamwork, empathy, listening, and a positive attitude).

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Understand business needs & proactively drives & challenges team members to visualize more efficient future states including digital, self-service, and paperless solutions. Focus on developing and implementing outcomes-based planning strategies that are aligned with stakeholders
  • Drives cross-functional strategic initiatives and manages the inter-dependencies among them.
  • Develops program artifacts (roadmaps, plans, risks assessments, budget/cost tracking, etc.) and prepares updates for senior/executive leadership that ensure transparency through timely and effective communication of accomplishments, challenges, and blockers.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to team members given extensive experience in directly managing complex initiatives and large, diverse teams.
  • Plans, baselines and controls costs to ensure programs are executed within approved budget.
  • Ensures successful and timely completion of milestones by tracking progress against baseline schedule. Formulates risk mitigation strategies and recommends solutions
  • Forms strong relationships and works collaboratively with multiple areas across the enterprise. Create collaborative partnerships with sponsors, leaders, vendors, and other stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
  • Ensure program objectives/requirements are clear and agreed to by all stakeholders
  • Participates in the corporate strategy planning by informing and contributing to current plan refinement and future plan development.

, Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of effective project/program managements experience in financial services
  • Extensive technical project/program management experience. PMP or equivalent certification preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, lead, and execute on large scale programs/projects
  • Exceptional people skills with the ability to build trust and work collaboratively within dynamic environment while effectively challenging the status quo
  • Exhibits strong accountability behaviors and able to manage multiple priorities and remain on track with objectives independently within complex environments
  • Strong quality orientation with attention to detail and delivery of service excellence
  • Superior written / oral communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills (verbal and nonverbal communication, the ability to handle conflict, teamwork, empathy, listening, and a positive attitude).
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable, measurable tasks
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing environments
  • Excellent collaborative and networking skills to build strong partnerships, in order to bring different functions and stakeholders together. Inspires trust and respect through inclusivity and openness to diverse mindsets and styles of working
  • Ability to drive sound decision making by ensuring a clear decision-making process, facilitating open dialogue, ensuring accuracy of inputs, and timeliness of decision making
  • Results driven, self-starter with proactive working style who committed, accountable, and transparent working style inspires especially when under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability with MS Project/Project Server, Monday.com, Jira, and/or similar tools as used by the business
  • Experienced with running programs/projects in waterfall, hybrid, and agile frameworks and determining which approach to apply given the complexity and type of initiative as well as the capabilities of the team.
  • Six Sigma preferred but not required.
  • PMP or equivalent preferred not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.

Compensation

The expected annual salary for this position is between $180,000 and $200,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
