We Are Currently Seeking a Staff Overhead Transmission Line Engineer For Our Expanding Transmission & Distribution Practice In The Listed Regions. The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Manage all engineering aspects of overhead transmission line design, including PLS-CADD modeling, route planning, structural analysis, design criteria development, sag-tension calculations, and more.
  • Develop specifications for construction materials and hardware, oversee structure and hardware design, and provide on-site installation supervision.
  • Produce construction drawings and cost estimates for high voltage overhead transmission lines.
  • Contribute to project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to financial parameters.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, offering guidance and instruction as needed.
  • Potentially evolve into a leadership role, leading engineering teams and serving as a key liaison between our firm and clients.
  • Previous experience as a technical lead on projects and conducting quality reviews is advantageous.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering from an accredited program required. Professional certification, EIT, and/or professional engineer licensure preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in routing and designing high voltage overhead transmission line facilities. Completion of a master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in 69kV to 500kV line design and proficiency in Power Line system-based programs (e.g., PLS, PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, etc.) is desirable.
