Transmission Planning Engineer

JDRoss energy is looking to speak with Transmission Planning Engineers for a permanent direct hire role for our client an asset owner / developer.

Responsibility

• Required to work across various ISOs/RTOs.
• Prepare and submit manage generator interconnection requests.
• Carry out power flow analysis, review models, and assess studies to identify potential upgrades and associated interconnection costs.
• Coordinate and interpret interconnection and transmission studies
• Develop strategies to enter new markets for greenfield projects
• Support team with insights on transmission, interconnection, and congestion issues, and help develop perspectives on preferred markets and zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 plus years of relevant experience
• Experience with load flow analysis tools such as GE PSLF, PowerGEM TARA, PSSE, or PowerWorld.
• Previous experience working with analysis tools such as PROMOD, Gridview, or Dayzer is preferred.
