Our client, a large Metal Recycling Operation, is seeking a Transportation Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of Transportation Operations, including Fleet Management, Driver Supervision, Route Planning & Ensuring Compliances with Safety Regulation at Multiple Yard locations.
In this role, the Transportation Operations Manager will play a critical role in optimizing efficiencies, reducing costs & improving customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Manage & Supervise a team of dispatchers, drivers & contractors
Ensure staff adheres to Company Policies & Safety Regulations
Monitor & Analyze Transportation Data for Continuous Improvement Opportunities
Ensure Compliance with all local, state & federal transportation regulations
Lead all communications with top accounts & manage new account implementations
Responsible for company freight and fleet expenses & invoicing
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Related Field
Proven Experience in Transportation Operations Management, Preferably in Heavy Industrial Capacity
Excellent Leadership & Team Management Skills
Proficient with Transportation Management software
Compensation: Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 100k/year, plus an annual bonus, and relocation assistance if needed. Our client also offers competitive benefits and 401k with a company match.
