Transportation Operations Manager - Recycling and Sustainability - Base Salary to 100k/year - Columbia, SC

• Our client, a large Metal Recycling Operation, is seeking a Transportation Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of Transportation Operations, including Fleet Management, Driver Supervision, Route Planning & Ensuring Compliances with Safety Regulation at Multiple Yard locations.
• In this role, the Transportation Operations Manager will play a critical role in optimizing efficiencies, reducing costs & improving customer satisfaction.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Manage & Supervise a team of dispatchers, drivers & contractors
• Ensure staff adheres to Company Policies & Safety Regulations
• Oversee fleet management of trucks, trailers & containers: Maintenance, Repairs, Registration & Inspections
• Coordinate, Source, Negotiate & Maintain Freight Rates
• Monitor & Analyze Transportation Data for Continuous Improvement Opportunities
• Ensure Compliance with all local, state & federal transportation regulations
• Lead all communications with top accounts & manage new account implementations
• Responsible for company freight and fleet expenses & invoicing
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Related Field
• Proven Experience in Transportation Operations Management, Preferably in Heavy Industrial Capacity
• Excellent Leadership & Team Management Skills
• Proficient with Transportation Management software
  
  

Compensation: Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 100k/year, plus an annual bonus, and relocation assistance if needed. Our client also offers competitive benefits and 401k with a company match.
