What You'll Do

As a SAP User Experience Research Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass the fusion of business owner or project management objectives with continuous user research to create a compelling user experience. Your duties will include:

  • Scheduling and planning field, web-based, and lab user research.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team comprising of Product Managers, designers, business owners, and engineers to understand user research study objectives and goals.
  • Developing studies to measure usability and gather customer requirements for design alterations and new features.
  • Conducting comprehensive competitive usability assessments with controlled variables.
  • Designing formative and summative experiments to measure specific usability goals, including defining participant profiles and key tasks selection.
  • Conceptualizing usability studies for testing UI building blocks and evaluating design decision risks.
  • Constructing research plans, studies, and reports for research initiatives to share with the design team and management.
  • Analyzing and optimizing existing User Experience tools usage scenarios and refining existing user experience processes, tools, and methods.
  • Transcribing user requirements into formal use cases or models for enhancing existing or creating totally new product areas.
  • Maintaining an accessible and understandable persona repository for all project stakeholders.
  • Converting research findings into actionable insights to guide the product team.
  • Actively participating in product brainstorming and design sessions.

What You Bring

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Human - Computer Interaction (HCI) or Psychology. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is highly preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years demonstrating exceptional performance in User Experience research, preferably with B2B and/or large-scale applications.
  • Experience working with customers and users in Asia, Europe, and the US.
  • Deep understanding and expertise in user, qualitative, and quantitative experience research methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills for both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to actively listen and clearly express your viewpoints.
  • Experience collaborating with development teams and product owners to redefine existing products.
  • (Preferred) Prior experience in solutions related to supply chain, finance, sales, marketing, and commerce.
  • Experience with Agile/Lean UX methodologies.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 101300 - 172200(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
