Aldridge is seeking a VDC Detailer to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role is responsible for producing fabrication spool drawings, detailed rack drawings, CAD as-builts and CAD files for our CNC machine.
What You’ll Do
Create files in BobCad for the CNC machines
Create underground spacers for underground conduit packages
As-built drawings from project teams
Create cut lists for steel products
Design rack drawings
Be involved in project builds
Attend meetings with PreFab group and project teams
Produce fabrication spool drawings
Utilize BIM software to model electrical systems
Reading job specifications and drawings
Who You Are
Excellent communication skills and work attitude

Be able to put in the time and effort necessary
Should be open-minded and decisive with problem solving skills
Ability to perform well and meet expectations in a fast-paced environment
Self-driven with desire to learn
Knowledge of AutoCAD
Familiarity with Excel, Word, and Google platforms
Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks or any other BIM software (preferred)
