SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will seek to align the technical capabilities of the multiple subsidiary organizations to the strategic plan of the parent company by focusing on key areas of consideration, including but not limited to: Capital Project Portfolio; New Innovation and Technology; Technical Capabilities and Synergies between teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Champion and Manage Capital Project Portfolio
Establish clear process and management of capital projects from selection, implementation, and management. Develop stage gate style system to manage projects and track to completion. Develop roadmap of capital projects within defined capex budget strategy.
Drive New Innovation and Technology
Implement new product roadmap within businesses based on needs and competitive offerings. Develop technology roadmap of evolving technology capabilities that should be investigated for integration. Manage stage gate process for new product introduction across businesses.
Develop Overall Engineering and Technical Capabilities
Develop community of practice across businesses to share technical knowledge. Identify technical skills gaps and identify longer term strategy to fill gaps to improve overall organization.
Identify Synergies Between Business Teams
Identify opportunities for business units to share technical talent, find synergies in process and identify common opportunities for improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:
Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, master’s degree preferred with at least 10 years of senior engineering leadership. Professional designation ( PE License ) preferred. Significant experience with relevant design production tools and demonstrated knowledge of coordination and integration of multi-disciplinary engineering systems. Experience in operations, capital sourcing, project management and R&D required. Other attributes include:

Able to work collaboratively up and down in the organization. A leader of engineering professionals.
