24 Seven has partnered with a industry leading marketing agency to add a strategic finance leader to their team. The Head of Finance will be a strategic partner to the Managing Director and executive team, providing financial leadership and direction to support the agency's growth and profitability. This role involves overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance within the advertising or media industry, with proven experience in managing complex financial strategies and driving business performance.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the agency’s goals.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to inform strategic decision-making.

Financial Management and Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.


Risk Management:

  • Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring appropriate controls and procedures are in place.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
  • Oversee internal audits and coordinate with external auditors.


Operational Efficiency:

  • Optimize financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage cash flow, capital, and investment planning.
  • Ensure effective cost management and operational expense control.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the finance team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment across the organization.


Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as a key point of contact for financial matters with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Present financial reports and analyses to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other financial partners.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably within the advertising or media industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, with advanced Excel skills.
