Ideal Candidate
The Victor Valley Community College District seeks a dynamic colleague and experienced business officer for the position of Vice President of Administrative Services.
Candidates should possess demonstrated experience in planning, directing, and evaluating the administrative services of a complex organization such as a California community college.
This position oversees all aspects of financial and business services, facilities, information technology, public safety, and auxiliary services.
The Vice President serves as the chief financial officer and provides unifying and participatory leadership in all areas related to business and fiscal affairs in this dynamic, complex, and diverse single college district.
Qualifications
Required Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Finance or Accounting and four years of experience managing an accounting operation.
OR
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a Certified Public Accounting certificate with four (4) years Public Accounting experience with supervisory experience.
OR
Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance and seven (7) years managing an accounting or finance operation.

Desirable Qualifications
Experience
Five years of increasingly responsible and varied experience in administering and supervising a full range District-wide business services management programs, such as accounting, budgeting, payroll, facilities planning/management, purchasing, risk management, warehousing, inventory control, and at least three years in an administrative business services capacity in a public sector setting.
Experience as a Chief Business or Fiscal Officer in a community college district.
Earned doctorate degree in business, finance, public administration or related field.
Experience in managing a budget of $50 million or more.
Experience in managing capital construction budgets.
