Scion Nonprofit Staffing, an award-winning full-service staffing firm, has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Vice President of Early Learning on behalf of our client, a mission-driven association supporting community engagement. This full-time on-site role is based in soulful Memphis, TN, and is available immediately. A full relocation package is available.


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Early Learning will collaborate closely with a passionate childcare leadership team to drive growth and impact in early learning across the region. They will lead the design, implementation, innovation, and evaluation of our client’s comprehensive early learning framework, model, and curriculum. With aggressive goals to double both center numbers and revenue in the next two years, the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of early learning landscapes and regulatory compliance, particularly DHS licensing requirements.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership

Supervise and lead a team of three Early Childhood Directors, fostering a culture of leadership development.

Conduct regular coaching sessions during on-site visits, providing developmental feedback.


Fiscal Management

Control annual financial operating budgets for designated operations, oversee annual budget creation, ensure the successful management of units, and achieve balanced fiscal operations for the Association.


Growth & Quality

Spearhead growth in the early learning division through program expansion, recruitment and retention of program participants and staff, development of new sites, pricing strategies, and collaborative partnerships.

Drive quality improvement and scalability by defining and establishing best practices, ensuring compliance with FHS requirements, and implementing process improvements, as well as system-level strategies that ensure quality, compliance, and inclusivity.

Capacity to identify root causes of issues and implement solutions.


Evaluation

Oversee and implement key metrics, program and student evaluations, ensuring alignment with our client’s purpose, high quality, funder, and regulatory standards.


Innovation

Drive innovation to implement and pilot new strategic initiatives and inspire approaches to enhance success in early learning.


Parent Experience

Create a parent experience pathway to facilitate seamless transitions from interest to enrollment.

Substantiate consistent and scalable processes and evidence-based touchpoints to promote quality parent involvement and achieve enrollment goals.


Communications & Partnerships

Implement multi-faceted communication strategies to build relationships and enhance operational effectiveness with diverse internal and external stakeholders.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a directly relation field.

Five or more years of administrative and large staff management experience in early childhood programs.

Able to meet DHS Director standards in both Tennessee & Mississippi with the ability to travel to all five centers in these regions.

Experience with multi-unit operations.

Experience in fiscal management and budget development, preferably with diverse funding streams (federal, state, and private pay).


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

In addition to a salary of $130,000 to $145,000 (DOE) this opportunity offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, optical, and life insurance, a 12% employer-funded, fully vested retirement plan after two years, and a 403(b) savings plan. A full relocation package is offered if moving from over 60 miles away.
