The VP, Finance is responsible for leading/assisting in the finance functions of the Company. The successful candidate will have experience in general cash management, budgeting/forecasting, and investor reporting. They will showcase their abilities by taking a leading role in working with our lenders, rating agencies and others to maintain, and create new, credit facilities for the Company. This role supports the consolidation of Company results and various valuations that are needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily cash positions, funds available for operations and related borrowing needs.
  • Ensure sufficient funds are available to cover Company needs.
  • Maintain the Company's liquidity positions and advise management of potential issues and/or suggested solutions.
  • Review & model complex legal documents for existing and new finance facilities (warehouse lines, capital markets, etc.)
  • Lead/assist in the process of taking a portfolio to capital markets and working with custodians, bankers, back up servicers, etc.
  • Responsible for the preparation of financial presentations as assigned for Senior Management and external customers (e.g. Rating Agencies, Lenders, etc.)
  • Monitor compliance with our loan agreements with regard to covenants, certificate reporting and annual certifications.
  • Understand, develop, communicate, and monitor strong internal controls within the Accounting/Finance department.
  • Responsible for the ownership and calculations for business models that support financial forecasting process and related KPIs.
  • Assist the accounting department with month end close, consolidation and appropriate valuations as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain financial models that support the forecast process and reporting to Senior Management.
  • Improve on current forecasting process to ensure accuracy and suggest new ideas to keep up with changing economic factors.
  • Formulate questions on monthly results for staff to investigate.
  • Perform other adhoc reports/analysis as needed.
  • Learn and understand the Company's strategy, drivers, and metrics to showcase your financial and business expertise.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead/assist on the project as appropriate.
  • Suggest ideas/solutions for any financial issues.
  • Prepare analysis and proforma financials as needed for the investor community, lenders, and rating agencies.
  • Actively participate in industry presentations/courses to maintain and grow your professional performance.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required, MBA degree is a plus.
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite including advanced Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Knowledge of general cash management, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience in the consumer lending industry is preferred.
  • Experience and strong understanding of capital markets.
  • Strong financial modeling is required.
  • Experience with financial reporting, forecasting and analysis/interpretation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement and cash flows).
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver results.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy in all tasks.

Compensation:

Minimum: $175,000.00 Annually

Maximum: $250,000.00 Annually
