Our client is a thriving boutique property management company specializing in multifamily residential properties in central Austin, TX. Their current portfolio consists of 20+ owned/ managed properties and is relatively stabilized.


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations/ Director of Operations to oversee the property management platform directly reporting to the Owner of the company. The VP of Operations will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, enhancing resident satisfaction, and optimizing property performance across our portfolio of multifamily properties.


You will be responsible for a team of 2-3 regional managers and indirectly responsible for30+ site team members. These assets are B/C class so Value-add experience is a plus.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic initiatives to achieve operational objectives and drive company growth.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of property managers and operational staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement best practices and processes to ensure efficient property operations, maintenance, and tenant services.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage property budgets, expenses, and financial performance to achieve revenue goals and maximize profitability.
  • Tenant Relations: Oversee tenant relations and customer service efforts, ensuring high levels of resident satisfaction and retention.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effective solutions.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure properties comply with local, state, and federal regulations and manage risk effectively.
  • Technology Integration: Identify and implement innovative technologies and systems to streamline operations and enhance property management efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in multifamily property management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strategic Thinker: Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving operational excellence and achieving business goals.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of property financials, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with tenants, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of multifamily property management practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with property management software and other relevant technology solutions.
